De-Escalation 101 is an online course designed to help you successfully reduce problem behaviors and safely assist children of all ages in de-escalating during challenging behavioral episodes. This course was created to consider the needs of special education and general education teachers, parents, and clinicians working with children who struggle with challenging behaviors and meeting expectations at home or school. Learn how to prevent problem behaviors and respond effectively during times of dangerous or highly disruptive behaviors. This course breaks down what to do before, during, and after an episode of problem behavior, with a focus on staff training and collaboration. All strategies are rooted in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis and trauma-informed practices.

Each topic is divided into short, actionable videos, and concepts are explained in a user-friendly way.
