Answering who, what, where, when, which, and why questions can be one of the most difficult yet most important skills to teach. This essential skill builds conversation skills, comprehension abilities, vocabulary, and academic knowledge. Answering “wh” questions also allow a student to demonstrate their knowledge, engage in meaningful social interactions and advocate for themselves. A deficit in question answering can have implications across academic, social, and functional skill areas.
This huge bundle targets who, what, where, when, which, and why questions using adapted books, task cards, and work tasks and uses a mixture of clip art and real photos! Two sets of task cards per “wh” question feature a visual choice of 3 answers to support students who are not yet ready to answer “wh” questions without additional support. One set of task cards per “wh” question specifically incorporates “wh” questions with life skills. The huge range of examples and variety will allow your students to practice this skill and expand vocabulary in a fun and easy way! This resource is perfect for independent work, guided practice, stations, partner work, and speech-language therapy.
